Are drinks part of the experience?
The Tasting Room experience will not include alcoholic beverages. But future Tasting Rooms will include pairings with wine & cocktails so stay tuned!
What ages is this event geared towards?
All ages are welcome for the seated tasting experience. Some of the flavors and techniques may resonate best with more mature palettes, and the flow of the event is more leisurely than our normal ice cream service, so we suggest age 15+ as a loose guideline.
Is there parking?
There is free street parking, as well as a 2 hour free lot in Rozzie Square, near the commuter rail.
sweeties is nut-free, right?
Yes, we are 100% nut-free. Please reach out with any allergies or dietary restrictions ahead of time so that we can do our best to accommodate you.

Meet the chef: Mercedes Mendiola
Behind many of sweeties’ most beloved flavor combinations is Chef Mercedes Mendiola whose passion for creativity and craft transforms simple ingredients into memorable experiences.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with degrees in Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship, Mercedes has built her career around exploring the art of flavor. In addition to her role as sweeties’ in-house culinary lead, she is a full-time chef and head pastry chef at the notable fine dining restaurant New Rivers in Providence, RI.
For Mercedes, every dessert is an invitation to taste something familiar, yet entirely new. Her inventive spirit and dedication to culinary arts shines through in every creation.
